We finally decided to do it, so we jumped right in and made our
very first quiche. A strangely easy dish that neither of us had attempted to
try before. The result was wonderful and delicious and creamy and yes... we
will absolutely be making it again.
Ingredients required:
1 x onion diced
2 x cups of chopped spinach
1 x cup of chopped button mushrooms
2 x tablespoons chopped pickled peppadews
6 x large eggs
1½ x cups milk
1 x teaspoon salt
1 x teaspoon black pepper
1 x teaspoon paprika
¼ x cup soft cheese
½ x cup grated cheddar
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius / 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Method:
- In a bowl mix together the
eggs, milk, salt, pepper and paprika.
- Add into the bowl the mushrooms,
spinach, peppadews and onions and mix thoroughly.
- In a non-stick oven pan pour
the mixture. (Our dish was 20cm x 20cm and 5cm deep)
- Over the top crumb and spread
the soft cheese and grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake in oven for 35 to 40
minutes.
- Leave to stand for 5 to 10
minutes before serving.
